Integrated emergy and economic evaluation of different planting systems in China: implications for coordinating poverty alleviation and rural revitalization

Developing high-value crop planting industries according to local conditions is an important strategy for targeted poverty alleviation, and it also a momentous solution agricultural structure adjustment. However, previous studies mainly have focused on their spatiotemporal evolution economic benefits instead of environmental impact. An in-depth analysis urgently needed. Taking Linquan County as the research area, this study applied emergy analyses explore differences among different systems wheat system from perspectives benefit, impact overall sustainability. The results showed that provide more competitive profit than planting. Despite high benefits, three highvalue intensify purchased nonrenewable resource inputs lead higher stress, especially ginger system. Under trade-off benefit performance, peony considered promising pattern further sustainable agriculture considering its synergistic development photovoltaic power generation.
